2027: Now that Governor Alex Otti has declared, By Ferdinand Ekeoma

Now that Governor Alex Otti has declared, these are the pictures that will campaign for him. These pictures speak eloquently about what is happening on Obohia Road.

These are real explanations captured in pictures. They are not promises, neither are they stories. They are not folktales, and not fantasies. They are facts you can touch, roads you can drive on.

This was how Port Harcourt Road was dealt with. This was how Ohanku Road was rescued. This is how Obohia and Omuma Roads are presently being dealt with. This is the same onslaught being unleashed on Uratta Road and Old Express Road.

For decades, these roads were synonymous with pain, flood, and abandonment. Today, they are symbols of recovery, commerce, and dignity. Go to Port Harcourt Road and see a six-lane artery with an underground tunnel drainage system. Go to Ohanku and see a road that has brought relief to thousands of traders and residents. Go to Obohia and Omuma and see history being rewritten in real time.

As campaigns gradually gather momentum, we shall be showing our people these modest but monumental interventions — their economic impact, how they have revived Aba, restored pride to Umuahia, reconnected rural communities, created jobs, and how our Governor intends to sustain this momentum of transformation across Abia.

Dear peace-loving Abians, join us in telling these stories. Do not yield to the temptations and provocations of Children of Anger and abandon the real issues, which are governance and development.

Ignore hate speech, divisive tantrums and distractions — they are the weapons of the weak. Defeat distortions and falsehoods with facts and figures. Let achievements speak where propaganda shouts.
Indeed, help is here at last.
