Boks score 12 tries in Baabaas win

The Springboks come out on top in a festival of running rugby against the Barbarians in Gqeberha.
The Boks won 80-points to 31, scoring 12 tries while the Baabaas got five of their own.

The halftime score was 40-26 in favour of the Boks. The homeside doubled it’s points tally in the 2nd half while only conceding one more try.
Winger Edwill van der Merwe was named man-of-the match after he scored three of the Springboks’ tries. Cheslin Kolbe was in charge of the kicking duties and he converted nine tries while also scoring one of his own for a match total of 23-points.
The match kicked off the Springboks’ international season and provided an appetizer of what lies ahead.
