Donovan backed for big future on signing new Celtic deal

Manager Martin O'Neill is sure Colby Donovan is destined for "very big future" as the Celtic full-back extended his contract until 2031.
The 20-year-old has made 15 starts for the Scottish champions this season, having made his debut in August last year.
He was called up to the Scotland squad for the first time in September although he did not feature in any of the four Nations League matches under new boss Sebastien Pocognoli.
"He has come in when we needed him, given everything for our cause," O'Neill told club media, going on to praise the defender's "tremendous attitude".
O'Neill added: "I know the love Colby has for the club and I know what signing this deal means to him and his family.
"I am sure that he will continue to progress and enjoy a very big future in the game, and I am so pleased that he sees his long-term future at Celtic."
Donovan made 27 appearances last season and has been O'Neill's preferred deputy for the injured Alistair Johnston.
"I've loved every single minute," said Donovan, "But it doesn't stop now. I'm just going to keep kicking on.
"You've got to have that belief as a young player coming through here at Celtic. You see all the signings that they bring in.
"When I was a kid, I knew I could come through and do it."
