The Isoko Development and Leadership Movement has embarked on fundraising to procure electricity transformers and other needed infrastructure “to boost stable power supply in Isoko nation”.
The group urged sons and daughters of Isoko nation worldwide to “support the initiative by contributing generously towards the project aimed at ensuring sustainable development of the community”.
The statement by the convener of the group and Chief Executive of Henrienco Holdings, Mr. Henry Ochuko Odugba, on Tuesday said Isoko deserved stable electricity.
“Isoko deserves development. Isoko deserves a brighter future… Access to stable electricity is a fundamental requirement for sustainable development. We are committed to mobilising stakeholders toward achieving this objective,” the group added.
It also appealed passionately to the Governor of Delta State, Sheriff Oborevwori, to facilitate lasting solutions to the electricity challenges confronting the area.

It added, “Timely government intervention will not only improve living conditions, but also unlock the enormous economic opportunities capable of transforming Isoko into a thriving hub of commerce and industry”.
Odugba, while presenting his personal cheque towards the fundraising, reiterated that the group stoutly decried the prolonged power challenges facing Isoko communities.
He said, “Electricity remains the backbone of economic growth, industrialization, youth empowerment, business expansion, healthcare delivery, education, and overall community development”.
Odugba appealed to Isoko sons and daughters, at home and in the diaspora, “to rise above political, religious, and social differences and unite behind the collective struggle for a brighter and more prosperous Isoko nation”.
