Major illegal alcohol bust in Mpumalanga leads to seven arrests

Mpumalanga police have arrested seven undocumented foreign nationals following the discovery of an illegal alcohol manufacturing operation at a building in Ogies.
The police were alerted about suspicious activities taking place on a plot outside the town.
Mpumalanga police spokesperson Mavela Masondo says upon arrival at the premises, police found a large quantity of unlabeled alcohol, brewing equipment, chemicals, and packaging material.
Masondo says the suspects were charged with the contravention of the Liquor Act and the Immigration Act. They will be appearing in the Ogies Magistrate’s Court soon. Police are still searching for the owner of the property.
