Makhadzi's e-hailing ride damaged as mob of overjoyed DRC fans swarm star

<p>South African award-winning singer <a href="https://iol.co.za/entertainment/celebrity-news/2026-06-02-netizens-explode-after-makhadzi-steps-into-march-and-march-shutdown-drama/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Makhadzi</a> was caught completely off guard during her recent trip to the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) when eagle-eyed fans spotted her sitting inside an Uber.</p>
<p>The adoring crowd quickly swarmed the vehicle in a desperate bid to get a glimpse of the "MaGear" hitmaker. In the chaotic excitement, the crowd accidentally ripped the bumper and the side mirror right off the vehicle.</p>
<p><a href="https://iol.co.za/entertainment/celebrity-news/2026-06-02-netizens-explode-after-makhadzi-steps-into-march-and-march-shutdown-drama/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Makhadzi</a> took to social media to share a video of the mob-like situation, ensuring her fanbase that she was perfectly safe and was simply a victim of pure, overwhelming love from her Congolese supporters.</p>
<p>In the video, the grounded star could be seen helping the driver load his detached bumper into the back of the car while apologising profusely for the damage.</p>
<p>"Look at what they did to his car, guys," Makhadzi said in the video. "Don't worry, I will hold it for you, my brother.</p>
<p>"Sorry, this is all my fault. I am in Congo, it's my first time coming to Congo. I didn't know the love is too much like this. I took an Uber to go to the market to buy some things because I lost my bag by the airport, I'm going to get it later on, but I wanted to buy something to change.</p>
