Mia Le Roux shares emotional wedding video after marrying Luke ten Oever
Former Miss South Africa Mia Le Roux has married Luke ten Oever at La Paris Estate in Franschhoek.
Former Miss South Africa Mia Le Roux is officially a Mrs, and her wedding video has given fans a glimpse into the emotional moments of her big day.
Le Roux married her longtime partner, Luke ten Oever, on October 16, sharing a video of the ceremony on Instagram. The former beauty queen announced the milestone with a romantic tribute to her husband, accompanied by a quote from poet Pablo Neruda’s Sonnet XVII.
“Mr and Mrs ten Oever,” she captioned the post, adding: “I love you without knowing how, or when, or from where. I love you straightforwardly, without complexities or pride.”
The wedding video captured the couple exchanging vows, sharing intimate moments and celebrating with their loved ones.
For her walk down the aisle, Le Roux wore an ivory bridal gown designed by South African designer Anel Botha.
The dress featured lace, satin, pearls and diamanté details, creating a classic bridal look. She later changed into a second, more fitted gown for the reception.
The ceremony and reception took place at La Paris Estate in Franschhoek, in the Cape Winelands, where the couple celebrated with approximately 60 guests.
The décor featured floral arrangements, draping and chandeliers in a beige-and-gold palette, while the newlyweds cut a wedding cake as part of the celebrations.
Beyond the bridal fashion and beautiful setting, the couple’s vows offered a glimpse into their relationship.
In the wedding video, Ten Oever spoke about the lessons he had learnt from his wife, including patience, faith and unconditional love.
“Mia, my love, you’ve taught me that faith is louder than fear,” he said.
He added that, decades from now, he hoped they would look back on a lifetime of memories together.
Le Roux, in turn, thanked her husband for seeing her worth and reassuring her that she was enough.
“In a world that has consistently told me I’m less, you’ve always told me I’m more,” she said. “Thank you for seeing me. I hereby vow that I will always see you.”
The couple announced their engagement in July 2025, though Le Roux revealed they had been privately engaged for some time before sharing the news publicly.
At the time, she praised Ten Oever for his patience, love and support during her Miss South Africa reign.
The couple had announced their wedding date in June 2026, confirming that they would exchange vows on October 16.
Le Roux made history in 2024 when she became the first deaf woman to win the Miss South Africa title. Her reign also brought greater visibility to conversations about inclusion and representation.
Now, as she begins married life, her wedding video has offered fans a more personal look at the woman behind the crown, and the love story that brought her to the altar.
