MIT Develops Single Fuel System for Dual Spacecraft Thrusters
Scientists at MIT have revealed a new approach to spacecraft propulsion that utilizes a single fuel to operate two different types of thrusters. This system integrates chemical and electric propulsion into one compact design.
The technology allows small satellites to benefit from both high-efficiency long-range travel and rapid bursts of acceleration. By combining these capabilities, the researchers believe the functionality of small satellites could be significantly transformed.
