Moya makes job creation key election pledge in Tshwane

ActionSA Tshwane mayoral candidate Nasiphi Moya has pledged to create jobs and unlock economic opportunities if she is elected mayor in next week’s local government elections.
Moya was speaking at the party’s final election campaign rally in Hillbrow, Johannesburg where she outlined five key priorities should ActionSA be elected to govern the city.
She told party supporters that over the next five years, the party will build on its economic revitalisation strategy by attracting investment, helping businesses expand and making it easier for entrepreneurs to operate.
Moya says the party will also continue supporting township businesses and informal traders while connecting young people to skills development, work experience and employment opportunities.
“I know how difficult unemployment can be during COVID despite my qualifications and experience, and I always say that I used to earn R1.8 million per annum but the moment my contract ended, I struggled to find work myself. That experience has stayed with me, particularly when I meet young people who are desperate for an opportunity to build independent lives.”
Mayor Moya’s 2026 Elections Pledge:
I am committing myself to making reliable basic services the central priority of the next five years, backed by proper investment, maintenance and accountability.
Our residents should not have to accept repeated service failures as a normal part of life in the Capital City.
