New Switch 2 Bundle Announced For Europe

Nintendo has seemingly finally realised just how popular Pokémon Pokopia really is.

Following in the footsteps of Australia and New Zealand, the company has announced a new Switch 2 bundle for Europe. It contains the console itself along with a download code for Pokopia and is scheduled to launch on 2nd July 2026.

So yeah, this seems to be the go-to bundle for at least the Summer months. Those in North America can also bag a fancy bundle, albeit one that provides the option to choose between Pokémon Pokopia, Mario Kart World, and Donkey Kong Bananza.

Nintendo has still yet to provide concrete details on any price hikes for the Switch 2 in the UK, but those in Europe can expect to pay an extra €30 for the console when the increase comes into effect from 1st September.

Price hikes are also due to occur in North America and Canada, while adjustments have already gone into effect over in Japan. If you're looking to purchase a Switch 2 and happen to be a fan of Pokémon, this specific bundle might be worth keeping an eye on before the asking price goes up.

If this news came a little earlier, I would have advised a good friend to wait till this bundle came out as she is both a Minecraft fan and a Pokémon fan.

Better late then never annyways.

Why didn't they release this along side Pokopia's release?

This better not be a trend, cause I'm fully set on getting the inevitable Ocarina of Time Switch 2 bundle.

@Erigen probably because no one realized how popular Pokopia would be.

It makes sense to release the bundle as this softens the price increase a bit.

So where’s the limited editions nintendo.
Consoles with artwork on them.
Rather than these poor excuses of regular console plus a digital game.

Happy for my fellow Europeans interested in getting Switch 2 thanks to this bundle (bet many will go for it) - Pokopia is a great game to have not only in general, but also installed on the system considering its genre!

@Erigen They vastly underappreciated how popular the game was going to be. Thats it really.

Gotta say that box looks real nice, but it's functionally identical to the generic Switch 2 + Pokopia bundle that Nintendo already offers since it just gives you a download code

At least more appealing than the Mario Kart Bundle.

Eh, NO.
It still Black color and the game still doesn't have actual physical release in game card.
I want White bundle or colorful bundle like Blue or Silver.

@Anti-Matter you really dont have to tell us all of your dislikes.

Be happy and just walk on by if it doesn't interest you. Simple.

Download code?
When the OoT bundle turns up I know it will be the same, BOOO!
Give us a physical game!!

To be fair, I do have a Master system with Sonic built in, so to be honest it is kind of the same

Pokopia!

@Bunkerneath Modern day bundles always have download codes. Been this way since the Wii U..

This could've been released when the game launched. Nintendo really makes no sense when some of their decisions

@Lord

We won't see them for a few years. Especially with the new European version coming where you can remove the battery easily.

@Debo626 That doesn't go into effect until feb 2027. So, I don't think so.

@Debo626 Yes good point. Im not rushing to change mine but it was a good ruling/decision as battery changes should always have been a simple job with no consequence on warranties.

I think it doesn't come into force until February next year though??

@Rob3008 I know but whilst Im fully aware he blocked me many moons ago, Ill still call out some of his comments where they are repetitive, off topic and are just plain negative looking for clicks and as before he blocked me, I was always up for a healthy, civilised and sensible debate with him, or anyone for that matter.

I choose not to block him as I dont believe that we should have to restrict our own view due to someone's adverse behaviour on this site.

Love when they do bundles. I’ve missed the days of pack in games with every console launch…. Seeing Super Mario World front and center on the SNES box or Sonic on the Genesis box chefs kiss

Edit - Now if we could just get companies to bring back pack in color manuals and cardboard boxes….

@Bunkerneath Im open on here that I don't mind digital but admittedly, Im a sucker for a physical special edition Zelda release.

Here's hoping for a dedicated OOT direct!!

@Anti-Matter You should make an exception with Pokopia, as it’s a fantastic game and I think you would love it.

@Morsel
Actually I like the Pokopia gameplay since it made by same developer of Dragon Quest Builders, KOEI TECMO.
But, when I realized the game got game key card treatment, suddenly I turned off and felt sour with the game.
I don't want either game key card or digital, gimme the proper physical cartridge, how hard to put less than 10 GB game on 64 GB cartridge size?
I want to like Pokopia, but I still feel sour by game key card decision.

My partner is obsessed with this game, I don't think our Switch 2 has ever had this much time poured into it lol. I may have to wait a while to finish Indy.

My personal wishlist before buying an NSW2 is...

1. Accessible battery (to easily check for swelling)
2. Better screen (I'm sensitive to ghosting)
3. Neat special edition or fun colorway
4. Good bundle or discount

1 and 2 are dealbreakers, 3 and 4 would just be bonuses.

@Bunkerneath At least Sonic is on a chip inside the console that Sega can never delete or decide you're just not allowed to play it anymore.

How hard can it be to put a game with such a small file size on an actual cart? It’s inexcusable that this is just a Game-Key.

Some special fancy edition when? I mean, not only joycons, but also the console itself... Still waiting for my S2 because of this!

@Lord Well not a great time really, because they struggle to keep the price down. And multiple versions are more expensive and risky.
