Police arrest teenager after shooting that injured 12, including children, in Florida

Police have arrested a teenager in connection with a shooting on Saturday that injured 12 people in Florida.
The incident took place at 20:00 local time (01:00 Sunday GMT), close to an American football stadium in the city of Tallahassee where a university game had recently been played.
Eleven people were injured by gunfire, local police said, while another hurt their ankle while fleeing the scene. Six of the victims were children.
Anthony Rivers III, 15, has been charged with 11 counts of attempted second-degree murder and possession of a firearm by a delinquent.
Police said the shooting followed an altercation between people who knew each other and that additional arrests were possible.
None of the victims appear to have been the intended targets, they said in a statement.
"What should have been a weekend of celebration in our community instead became a night of fear and violence for the victims and their families," Tallahassee Police Chief Lawrence Revell said.
"We remain committed to holding those responsible accountable and getting answers for every family impacted by this tragedy."
Police said on Sunday that six people were in hospital, including one person who was in a critical condition. Five people had been released.
Revell told a press conference on Sunday that police had had to carry victims in their arms to get them to emergency responders because of the crowds from the football game.
