Burglars went shopping at Advocate Muzi Sikhakhane Senior Counsel's Bryanston home on Saturday, helping themselves to a laptop, a monitor and booze.
Police spokesperson Colonel Dimakatso Nevhuhulwi said the incident happened during the early hours of the morning.
"Police in Randburg are investigating a housebreaking case after a house of a prominent advocate was broken into at Bryanston in the early hours of Saturday," Nevhuhulwi told IOL.
"The suspect/s reportedly stole a laptop, a monitor and some bottles of alcohol.
"No one has been arrested and police investigations are underway."
It is not the first time Sikhakhane has been targeted at home.
In 2012, burglars raided his home and walked off with documents belonging to his high-profile clients, which included former president Jacob Zuma and then minister Tokyo Sexwale.
Sikhakhane is one of SA's most prominent advocates.
He represented Zuma at the Zondo Commission and in his arms deal case, and founded the Pan African Bar Association of SA.
He has also represented former State Security Agency director-general Arthur Fraser in the Phala Phala matter and KwaZulu-Natal police commissioner General Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi in a defamation case in the Durban High Court.
