Samsung Bets Big on July 22 Unpacked: Foldables, Watches and Smart Glasses

Samsung is preparing one of its most ambitious product launches in years. The company is reported to be lining up a Galaxy Unpacked event on July 22 in London, where it is expected to reveal at least five devices — headlined by a pair of book-style foldables and the commercial debut of its long-teased Galaxy Glasses.
At the centre of the show are the foldables. Samsung is said to be launching two simultaneously: a Galaxy Z Fold 8 with a new wider design and a taller Z Fold 8 Ultra that succeeds the traditional line, alongside the clamshell Z Flip 8. Rumours point to major upgrades, including the possibility of a near-creaseless display — the same holy grail Apple is chasing with its own foldable due later this year.
The wearables line-up is equally busy. New Galaxy Watch models are expected, and the arrival of Galaxy Glasses would mark Samsung's serious entry into the smart-eyewear category that rivals have been racing to define. It is a bet that the next computing battleground extends beyond the phone to the face and wrist.
Pricing suggests Samsung is trying to hold the line where it can while passing higher memory costs to buyers. The base foldable is reported to stay at its previous launch price, with the increases concentrated in the larger storage tiers — a nod to the rising cost of components across the industry.
Samsung has not officially confirmed the event, but the date and London venue have been widely reported and corroborated by regulatory filings. If the line-up holds, July 22 will offer the clearest look yet at where the foldable — and wearable — future is heading, just weeks before Apple is expected to enter the fray.
