Senona alleges he was removed from office at gunpoint

Suspended KwaZulu-Natal Hawks Head Lesetja Senona has detailed the treatment he received from his employer after testifying before the Madlanga Commission of Inquiry in Pretoria earlier this year.

Senona has alleged that he was removed from his work premises at gunpoint.

He is being grilled on his alleged involvement in the disappearance of 541 kilograms of cocaine from the offices of the Hawks in Port Shepstone in 2021.

He says, “I don’t have my tools of trade since they were taken when I was taken at gunpoint out of my office. My laptop and my gun are gone, and then the documents that I was supposed to prepare for my disciplinary, I was taken out of my office like somebody, I don’t know, for lack of a better word, like a dog. And that thing is still a pain here, and it caused me to lie in the hospital for two weeks.”
