‘The cat is out the bag’: Pastor reveals second wife to stunned congregation

Pastor Israel Ford and his first wife, Lydia, publicly introduced Shikayla as his second wife during a church service in the US.

A pastor shocked the world when he and his wife announced that they had become polygamous and that he had a second wife.

Pastor Israel Ford and his first lady who head the Church in the United States of America made the announcement in front of his congregation this past weekend.

In the controversial service, the second wife announced that they had been married for over three years.

"Prophet and I, you know, are living in what we would call a polygamous marriage. My husband has a second wife. You know her, love her and you benefit from her ministry every week," said the first wife, Lydia Ford.

She went on to introduce her 'sister in marriage' Shikayla.

To rapturous applause, she went up to the stage and was embraced by Lydia.

"The cat is out the bag. Elephant is in in the room. First, I want to just give honour to God, you know, who is leading us and guiding us and then husband and then also my sister in marriage," she said.

She claimed that the unlikely union was the will of God.

"I have gained so much and I've learned so much from pastor. I mean, he's poured so much into me and into our family. We don't walk around like individuals fighting, beefing, but it is a family dynamic in the image of what God wants to put in the earth."

Shikayla revealed that some individuals in the ministry have known.

"Thank you for supporting, loving, praying, fighting and warring with us. It has been a journey and though it has been a learning experience, it keeps getting better," she added.
