U.S. Strikes Iranian Facilities Following Drone Attack on Cargo Ship

The United States carried out military strikes against Iran on Friday. According to U.S. Central Command, the operations targeted coastal radar installations as well as facilities used for storing drones and missiles.
These actions were taken in response to drone attacks that occurred a day earlier against a cargo ship located in the Strait of Hormuz.
President Donald Trump described the attack on the vessel as a violation of the ceasefire agreement.
The military engagement represents the most substantial challenge to an interim understanding that the two nations had established one week prior.
