World Cup Knockouts Run to July 19 Final at MetLife
The knockout stage of the 2026 World Cup will run from June 28 to July 19, culminating in the final at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
The expanded 48-team format sends 32 sides into the knockouts: the 12 group winners, the 12 runners-up and the eight best third-placed teams across the 12 groups.
The round of 32 runs from June 28 to July 3, with three games per day after a solo opening match.
The path to the final is now set as the tournament enters its decisive weeks.
