2026 MLB playoff bracket: Schedule and scores as Brewers go for 3-0 World Series lead over Rays

The 2026 World Series shifts to St. Petersburg as the Milwaukee Brewers look to take a dominant 3-0 series lead over the Tampa Bay Rays. The Rays, meanwhile, are trying to get on the board in Game 3 behind Freddy Peralta at home at Tropicana Field.

No team has erased a 2-0 deficit in the World Series since the 1996 New York Yankees.

The Rays secured the American League pennant by beating the Cleveland Guardians in ALCS Game 6 behind a massive home run by Junior Caminero. This marks their first World Series appearance since 2020, and only their third in franchise history (they lost to the Philadelphia Phillies in 2008). The Brewers, meanwhile, swept the Los Angeles Dodgers to win the National League pennant and make their first World Series since 1982. 

Neither franchise has ever won a title, meaning we'll get a first-time champion regardless of the outcome.
