ActionSA’s Khumalo pledges to rid Ekurhuleni streets of drugs

ActionSA Ekurhuleni mayoral candidate Xolani Khumalo has pledged to eradicate drugs from the streets.
He says he will shut down drug dens, dismantle supply networks and reclaim communities from drug dealers.
Khumalo was speaking at the party’s final election campaign rally in Hillbrow in Johannesburg, where he outlined five pledges should he be elected mayor.
These include reforming the Ekurhuleni Metro Police Department, restoring service delivery, fighting corruption and cadre deployment, and improving safety across communities.
Khumalo told supporters that he entered politics to fight crime.
” I didn’t come to politics to make friends, number one. I came to politics to fight criminals. I have walked into the drug dens in the City of Ekurhuleni. I have looked the drug dealers in the eyes while law enforcement looked away. I know what a broken city or a broken Ekurhuleni looks like.”
A commitment to serve all residents of Ekurhuleni!
Our Ekurhuleni Mayoral Candidate @XolaniKhumalo has signed his delivery contract, committing to building safer communities and improving service delivery across the City.
Ekurhuleni, Sizok’thola!
