Dangote Proposes East African Refinery Project in Tanzania
Aliko Dangote has expressed interest in collaborating with Uganda and Kenya to establish a significant oil refinery in Tanzania. The proposed project would be based on the design of his existing facility in Nigeria, which has a capacity of 650,000 barrels per day.
The initiative involves discussions between the three East African nations regarding a joint refinery located at the port of Tanga.
The facility is intended to process oil sourced from several regional partners, including Uganda, Kenya, South Sudan, and the DRC.
