The appointment, announced on Saturday, takes immediate effect, according to a statement issued by the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Bologi Ibrahim.
Mr Bago, popularly known as the “Farmer Governor,” expressed confidence in Mr Kuso’s ability to reposition the Minna-based club through what he described as competent and proactive leadership.
The governor said he was optimistic that the new chairman would deploy his experience to return the club to its “glory days.”
He also urged members of the club’s management team to support the new chairman and work collectively towards the progress and success of the team.
Mr Kuso succeeds Ibrahim Dada, who stepped down from the position to contest the Bosso/Paikoro Federal Constituency seat in the House of Representatives.
