Ghana Issues Ebola Alert Amid Heightened East African Monitoring
On May 19, 2026, the Health Ministry and Health Service of Ghana released an official alert regarding Ebola.
In East Africa, Tanzania has responded to the risk of an outbreak by strengthening monitoring at its seaports and airports, while also intensifying checks at its borders.
Additionally, Kenya reported three suspected cases of the virus, though all three individuals subsequently tested negative.
