Simphiwe 'Simz' Ngema pens emotional birthday message as son Tiyani turns 6

Media personality Simphiwe “Simz” Ngema poured her heart out to her first child, Tiyani, whom she affectionately refers to as Bhuka, in a touching birthday tribute.
In a lengthy Instagram post, Ngema took a moment to celebrate the little boy who, in her words, turned her heart into a home.
“Oh my, Bhuka. You came into my life and made my heart your home. You are so present, and that’s my favourite thing about you. You were sent to this earth to love even the weakest parts of me. You love me intentionally. You pay attention to my everyday needs,” Ngema wrote.
The post was accompanied by a series of pictures and memories that they have captured over the years since Tiyani made his grand entrance into the world.
Ngema also expressed gratitude for Tiyani’s kindness, maturity and reflected on their unbreakable bond as well.
“Sometimes I feel like you are too young to understand my emotions so well, but I understand that God chose you specifically for me and what a special feeling that is.
"You understand my love language so well. It makes me proud and sad that you even understand that “mummy needs a bit of time with the baby” and how you wait so patiently for your turn,” the former “Muvhango” actress shared.
She further shared how proud she is of her boy, adding that he is an “amazing” child.
The singer closed her heartfelt message and added: “Your love is soft, kind, loud and always intentional. Thank you for 'protecting us when Dada is not around'. You are my Superhero. I love you, my Superman. Happy Birthday.”
Ngema is a proud mother not only to Tiyani but also to baby Kaboentle Tinotenda Chinyani, whom she shares with her partner Tino Chinyani.
The couple welcomed Tiyani in June 2020, while Kaboentle was born in November 2024.
In an interview with “Batswadi Magazine” in 2024, Ngema reflected on her motherhood journey, sharing that nothing makes her happier than being a mom to her children.
“Motherhood is so peaceful and brings me so much joy. There is nothing I enjoy more than being a mother.
“It has made me not fear going for the things that I want because now there is someone who is looking up to me,” she said.
