Morocco, Brazil, and Scotland Fight for Group C Knockout Spots

The final matchday of Group C in the 2026 World Cup will determine which teams advance to the Round of 32. Morocco, Brazil, and Scotland remain in contention, while Haiti has been officially eliminated from the tournament after losing their first two matches to Brazil and Scotland.
Morocco enters the final round in a strong position, having earned four points from a draw with Brazil and a 1-0 win over Scotland. A victory or a draw against Haiti in Atlanta would secure their place in the knockout rounds. The Atlas Lions, led by Mohamed Ouahbi, have shown consistent form, with midfielder Ismael Saibari scoring in both of their opening fixtures.
Brazil also holds four points and is well-positioned to progress. A win or a draw in their match against Scotland in Miami would guarantee their advancement. Due to a superior goal difference of +3 compared to Morocco's +1, Brazil has an edge in tiebreaker scenarios and could top the group with a high-scoring victory.
Scotland's path to the knockouts is more precarious. A win over Brazil would ensure their progression and potentially place them at the top of the group if Morocco fails to beat Haiti. While a draw would keep their hopes alive, they might then rely on being one of the eight best third-placed teams across the tournament to advance.
For Scotland, a loss could still allow for qualification as a best third-place side, provided the defeat is narrow and other results in other groups fall in their favor. However, a heavy loss would damage their goal difference and jeopardize their chances of moving forward.
Both Group C fixtures are scheduled to kick off simultaneously at 6 p.m. ET. Haiti, despite their elimination and failure to score a goal thus far, will look to end their first World Cup appearance on a positive note against Morocco.
